11-15 weeks

Well it's been a long time, Lexi will be 16 weeks this Monday! It really does go by so fast, she changes so much week to week. She is getting so strong now, rolling over, holding her head up and she likes to stand all the time and stretch her legs.

We did get her ears pierced and she did great I get to change them in a couple weeks so I am excited!! We are taking her to see Santa and get more family pics taken November 30th so I will be sure to post some of those.

I'm not very good at this anymore but I will try to post some pics since she changes so much! :)

10 weeks

She made it through her shots, she actually did really good! She screamed for a little bit but she calmed down really quick when I picked her up. Brad likes to make fun of me and say she cried louder but I cried longer....I couldn't help it. She slept tons and did have a temp the next day but it only lasted one day so I was glad. No more shots until Dec. 7th so maybe I will be more prepared for the next ones....probably not. :)

She has been doing great with her sleeping the past few nights especially!! We have been getting her in bed by like 10:15 and we have to wake her up in the morning so I would say we are getting a little spoiled. I have to go back to work October 26th so I am trying to enjoy every moment with her during the day, I know I will miss her so much!! I will have to make the most of my nights with her.

Brad and I both said we would move her to the crib at 10 weeks since she has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks. I just couldn't do it last night he put her in the crib and I went in her room and she looked so tiny in her huge crib so I had to move her back with me!! Sad I know but she still fits in her bassinett so I figure as long as she fits in it I can keep her close to me. I won't always be able to check on her and have to next to me at night so I am taking advantage of it.

We usually get out at least once a day with her now sometimes more. She's starting to interact with her toys more and sometimes I think she could roll over if I let her get mad enough. If she's on the floor and gets mad she gets her arms and feet going so much she starts to roll on one side. I usually pick her up quick though when she has had enough play time. My girl is pretty spoiled....what can I say?!

2 months old today-9 weeks (Monday)

I know I have been a little behind on the blog lately, just a little busy around here. :) Things are definitely getting easier she is so much more alert and focused now. She smiles and coo's all the time, she is even starting to bat her hands at toys when we put her under her little play gym. My love grows for her every day she has definitely captured my heart.

She has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 1/2 weeks old. We started her on a schedule and a week later she was sleeping through the night. Feels good to be so well rested all the time, we keep saying we are going to transition her to the crib but I like her being right next to me for now. Brad and I only have three weeks left off work and then we go back, it's going to be hard to get back in the swing of things we are so used to just hanging out doing whatever we want.

We went to JCPenny's to get pictures taken and she did really good through the family ones but she was ready for a nap when we did just her so Brad and I worked together to get her happy for the pics.....trust me it took teamwork. :)

4-5 weeks

Well, its been pretty busy these days so I have been a little behind. :) We are having so much fun with her and enjoying her more and more. She is cooing and smiling more frequent now and she will follow us with her eyes when we are talking to her. So so cute, she sighs and it is adorable. I love her so much and it truly grows more and more daily it seems like.

She weighed 8lbs 5oz at her one month doc appointment, which I thought was pretty good!! She is in the 25th percentile for her weight and 50th for her height. Still fitting in those newborn clothes. :) I am excited to take her back to her two month checkup to see how much bigger she has gotten, except the fact that she will be getting three shots....not sure who is going to be crying more her or me.

We have started putting her under her play gym and introducing toys to her, right now she just kinda lays and looks around but she will lay their for awhile. She likes the noisy toys, go figure!! :)

Hope you enjoy the slide show and song we played it at her baby dedication. It was a very special day, she had lots of family and friends there to watch her on her big day!! She was definitely the star and she did great, we were (are) very proud parents.

3 weeks

We had another busy week!! Monday night we had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Langkamps. Tuesday my friend Dara and her baby Lainey came over so Lexi was introduced to one of her first playmates. Wednesday was the first day I was away from her for a couple hours. I ran a couple errands with my mom and Brad watched her. She did pretty good but I was missing her lots....not sure how I will get through leaving her all day to work. I try not to think about it right now.

Thursday I spent most of the day packing and doing laundry for our trip to Oklahoma. We left Friday morning and she did great traveling snoozing most of the time. I'm not gonna lie though it was a little much for me. I ended up getting a fever Friday night and Saturday morning so I was kinda out of it. She was a little out of sorts I think from not being at home but she still did good!!

We took her to the doctor yesterday and she is weighing 7lbs 9ounces (still not fitting into all her newborn clothes). The doc said she would like to see her gaining more weight so we are starting to give her formula so she can get more calories. We take her back next Thursday so I am hoping she will be around 8lbs by then.

2 weeks

She definitely has stayed awake a little more this week! Still a lot of sleeping eating and pooping...the normal newborn stuff. I love watching her face when she is sleeping she smiles and doesn't even know it!! :) She smiles when she is awake too but when she is sleeping its so innocent and cute. Since I'm breastfeeding it makes it a little harder to want to get her out but we did have a full schedule this past week. Tuesday was her doctors appointment and her doc said she looks great. She answered all my questions and gave me peace of mind about a few things. Lexi weighed 7lbs 4 ounces so she gained two ounces from when we left the hospital. We don't have to take her back until she is one month old on Sept 3rd.

We made a trip to my work so I could sign some papers to add her to my insurance and she did really good, everyone was excited to see her. We took her to Brads parents work Thursday and she got a lot of attention there. She had a fussy morning that day so we pulled over let her eat and she slept the whole time we were there so that was kinda nice. I'm still a freak about people passing her around and breathing on her....shes just so little still. Everyone said she looks like a porcelain doll, she was sleeping so peacefully. Friday we spent most of the day at my moms house and we ran a couple of errands. I took her to my brothers basketball game and she slept the whole game so my mom got to hold her the entire game....she was lovin that!! :) Saturday night was LeAnn's birthday so we went to Manny's for dinner she woke up at the end of dinner so she was ready to eat and then she stayed awake the whole car ride home so I sang songs to her. We had a good time!! Then yesterday was church, I can't believe she sleeps through all the loud noise but like my mom said shes probably used to it since we went so much when she was in my belly.

We are just enjoying her and trying to let everything sink in, I know this stage will soon pass.

My baby is one week old :(

My baby had a big week!! We had so many visitors at the hospital it was crazy but I was so proud to show her off so it didn't matter. She was sleeping most of the time anyway so she did good with being passed around. We left the hospital Wednesday and it was kind of an emotional day although right now every day has been kind of emotional. I didn't think it could get worse than pregnancy but hormones are still pretty crazy. I cried about her being a week old today!!

Friday Brad's boss asked him if he would help out so he went into work and I took her up to see him in the purple outfit with the big bow. Her onesie says, "I'll always be daddy's little girl". They all loved her and said how adorable she is!! :) She did look pretty cute in her purple flower. Then Saturday night we took her the grandma and grandpa's for the first time in her drama queen outfit. My mom has a little swing we put her in and she loved it. She was pretty worn out when we got home cuz she slept a solid 5 hours without waking up.

Then Sunday we took her to church in the cutest dress ever!! It was so emotional and amazing to stand up and worship God as I was holding her in my arms. Giving thanks to God that he gave her to us. He has blessed us so much lately it's amazing. She hasn't done much this week but eat, sleep and poop (she does not have tummy aches she poops all the time!!) But, I will say she is pretty strong for a newborn she already has pretty good control of her head for most babies I have held her age. I'm trying to start getting on the after baby readings now instead of what happens during pregnancy. Not as much time these days. Tomorrow she has a doc appointment and I have lots of questions. I try not to worry and freak out about every little thing but shes so little and new, I know I have a lot to learn. :)
